How To Become A Notary Public in Ohio

I often get asked how did you become a notary? So here it is:
These are the steps I took, in sequence to become an Ohio notary. I decided to learn everything to provide full notary services. One of my mottos:
“If I’ma do it, I wanna do it all!”
Let’s get right to it!
I obtained my Notary Public license (Traditional & Remote) from the state of Ohio by way of: Ohio Notary Services
which is the ONLY entity that can provide the education and training to be a traditional Ohio Notary Public and an Ohio Remote Online Notary Public.
I also took the:
Ohio Remote Online Notary Public course as well. It’s cheaper and directly approved by the state of Ohio. I wouldn’t suggest any other company in the United States for an Ohio notary.
Then I went on the:
National Notary Association website and took the Loan signing agent certification course. This special training allows me to handle loan document signings. Title companies and signing services hire NSAs to deliver loan documents to borrowers, oversee the signing and return the documents.
I paid for the whole package that includes background check and listing on their website plus NNA membership and errors & omissions insurance.
Note: You must be a notary first in order to be a notary signing agent.
Lastly I applied and got hired as an independent notary contractor for these two companies:
Signature Closers, LLC. as a Notary Signing Agent (Columbus, OH based). They receive the inquiry and create the contract for service. You sign up on their app and they post the jobs available for you to subcontract and complete

SIGNix as a Remote Online Notary
Which allows me to conduct notaries remotely by way of video.
Tip: Notaries will be needed to witness transactions in the block chain so you may want to learn about that as well.
I purchased my notary tools from a local Cleveland, OH business off of Detroit Ave.
I purchased my laptop from Microcenter.
You will definitely need a laptop with a good camera and microphone, Wi-Fi or satellite connectivity and at least one terabyte of internal storage.
